With experience in more than 40 jury trials, David Beller focuses his practice in criminal defense and criminal post-conviction relief. David utilizes preparation, diligence, commitment, compassion, and experience to his clients’ advantage each and every day.
David is driven by a desire and compassion to win for his clients. Through analysis, execution and experience, he seeks to drive a successful result in both simple and complex cases that have included: white collar crime, sexual assault, first degree murder, drug possession, domestic violence, DUI and traffic violations. David also has extensive experience representing clients before The University of Colorado Student Disciplinary Board, Colorado Real Estate Commission, Office of Attorney Regulation, Department of Human & Social Services, and the Colorado State Board of Nursing.
David is admitted to practice in Colorado and the U.S. District Court in Colorado. Prior to joining Recht Kornfeld, P.C., David was a Colorado State Public Defender. He is a Colorado native and attended school in Fort Collins and Ohio.
David sits on the board & is an officer of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar Association and is a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Denver, College of Law. He is also a faculty member for Colorado Alternate Defense Counsel, teaching trial skills to Colorado criminal defense lawyers.
In 2006, David was recognized by Law Week Magazine as one of Denver’s Top 20 Up and Coming Lawyers. He has been named in the 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 editions of Super Lawyers Magazine as one of Colorado’s Rising Star Attorneys, as featured in 5280 Magazine. He was named in 2012 by The National Trial Lawyers as one of Colorado's top 40 trial lawyers under 40.
