Heather Hanneman has over eighteen years of experience in complex civil litigation, representing clients in federal and state courts, arbitrations, mediations, and before the Board of Contract Appeals. Her areas of practice have included commercial contracts and other business disputes, unfair competition, fraud, defamation, government contracts, securities litigation, employment, legal malpractice, class actions, personal injury, and appeals. She is a member of the Colorado Bar and admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. She served as lead appellate counsel for the American Civil Liberties Union of Colorado in a case involving constitutional issues related to child custody and parenting time. She also has provided Continuing Legal Education instruction on the Colorado Consumer Protection Act. Her successful work on behalf of clients has resulted in numerous published cases in Colorado, including:

• In re the Marriage of Mockelmann, 121 P.3d 335 (Colo. App. 2005), and Henry A. Mockelmann III v. Connie L. Mockelmann, 121 P.3d 337 (Colo. App. 2005), involving claims for civil theft and conversion.
• Brenda M. Voller et al. v. David Gertz et al., 107 P.3d 1129 (Colo. App. 2004), involving claims for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, wrongful discharge, violation of the Colorado Wage Act, and other related claims.
• In the Interest of E.L.M.C., 100 P.3d 546 (Colo. App. 2004), cert. den., Oct. 25, 2004, involving constitutional issues related to child custody and parenting time.
• Loretta D. Schwankl v. Robert Olen Davis, 85 P.3d 512 (Colo. 2004), involving a claim for attorney's fees following the successful defense of a defamation claim.
