Dan Recht has been named by Colorado Super Lawyers magazine as one of the top attorneys in Colorado for 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. Only five percent of the lawyers in the state are named by Super Lawyers.

Dan Recht is a longtime Denver resident who has been in private practice for almost 20 years, following four years as a Colorado State Public Defender. Recht is a nationally recognized expert on criminal law matters and the First Amendment, and has tried more than 100 cases before juries.

He is a frequent legal commentator on CNN, FOX News, National Public Radio, the CBS Evening News, Nightline, The News Hour with Jim Lehrer, and ABC's 20/20.

Recht was selected by his peers to be included in the 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 editions of The Best Lawyers in America.

Recht is a past president of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar and past chair of the American Civil Liberties Union of Colorado. He is an active participant in the Colorado legal community.
